I am an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist and member of BAAT (British Association of Art Therapists). I offer individual and group Art Psychotherapy to adults and young people in the Woking, Weybridge and West Byfleet area as well as online.

I have always been drawn towards creating, writing, and moving with awareness to process challenging experiences. The arts are a healing tool and medicine that I now use to help my clients grow. After many years of training and personal therapy, during which I completed a MSc in Art Psychotherapy and hundreds of clinical hours supporting diverse clients, I am deeply grateful to be able to offer this space for you to embark on your own journey towards wholeness and flourishing.

about me.

I am an HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist and member of BAAT. I offer individual and group art therapy through a warm, integrative, and holistic approach, using creative practices to explore emotions, access unconscious processes, and support healing, growth, and lasting change. Over the past nine years, I have worked across a range of settings, supporting adults, children, and young people through periods of challenge, change, and personal growth. My experience includes working within the NHS with adults, in schools with children and adolescents, with foster children, in higher education settings, and alongside individuals experiencing addiction. These diverse roles have given me a deep appreciation for the unique experiences each person brings to therapy and the importance of tailoring the therapeutic process to individual needs.

I believe that creativity can offer a powerful way of expressing thoughts and feelings that may go deeper than words.  My approach is compassionate, and non-judgemental. I aim to create a safe, containing therapeutic space where you can explore your inner world at your own pace. Together, we make room for whatever needs to emerge, whether through art-making, conversation, or simply being present with difficult emotions. The focus is not on creating 'good' art, but on using the creative process as a means of reflection, discovery, and healing. My role is to support you in making sense of your experiences, developing greater self-understanding, and finding new ways of relating to yourself and others.

art therapy

Art therapy is an established form of psychotherapy — one that uses the process of making art, alongside talking together, rather than words alone. You don't need any previous experience with art, or to think of yourself as "creative," to take part.

In our sessions, I'll support you to use art materials to explore thoughts and feelings that can be hard to put into words — especially experiences that feel too complex or painful to talk about directly. My aim is to help ease distress and support your wellbeing, building insight, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of agency along the way.

My approach

At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship itself — a space where you can begin to see and experience yourself differently. Together, we explore your inner world and feelings, gradually building an inner support system that helps you reflect, understand old patterns that may no longer be serving you, and move towards a more fulfilling way of living.

Expressing yourself creatively through drawing, painting, clay, sand tray, body work and movement is a powerful tool on this journey to explore deep feelings that may go beyond words. In a session, I may make invitations to move into the art or you are welcome to dive in yourself at any point. There is no need to have previous experience or skill in any form as each creation will be cherished and respected as a reflection of your inner world.

I work integratively, drawing on a range of theories (including humanistic, psychodynamic, relational, neurobiological and embodied approaches)  and evidence-based practices tailored to each person I work with.
